With the Huawei releasing P30 Pro merely days before, the hype does not agree to wither away. But from a customer’s point of view, is the hype worth the penny? Let’s find out in the article, addressing each and every box Huawei has tried to click with this series.

The previous models released by Huawei were considered a tad too expensive in the beginning, but what really clicked in the brand’s favor was its flagship premium Mate series. This is what kick-started the brand with its own identity and put it into the big league among top-notch manufacturers like Samsung and Apple. But are we really anticipating a lot with the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro? Just the models just cost as much as college fees for one semester or Huawei retains its “value”?

So let us start straightway with the features these models are equipped with.

The right things at the right places

What came as a sudden but small disappointment in the very beginning is the camera quality. While the performance and display of Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are next levels, it is a big thumb down in the camera segment though they have got three cameras together on the back of the phone-40 MP, 40MP and 8 MP. But one cannot stop from falling in love with them as they delve deeper and deeper into the features and the specifications. Unending display surface, sharply curved edges and complete shining display- ticked. The pixels are thoroughly spread and balances, the animation quality is superb and a faster refresh rate of 90 Hz, which might not, seems of much value now but as Huawei puts it, the feature is “future-facing”.

WAIT! Refresh Rate? What on earth is that! Fret now, because we got it all covered. The refresh rate of phone refers to the number of changing frames in the display in one second. Imagine turning over the pages of a book. The better the quality of the page, the faster you can turn over, with of course your eyes accommodating comfortably with the speed and keep tracking. These higher refresh rates help in watching shows, sports, and other videos, and also playing games. This feature is the prime reason for the phone to be a little on the expensive end and also being the fastest phone on the planet at this time, period.

Coming to playing stimulations and games on the phone, these models are second to none. They do complete justice games like PUBG and Asphalt 9, enhancing graphics like no one else. The best part? The phone body also does not become too warm or get heated up, like the scenario is in the rest of their counterparts. Thus, smooth sailing of graphics are ensured and how.

If I were to ask anyone to pick up any phone from any part of the world when it comes to performance optimization and display smoothness, I can bet most of the people would choose these phones over anything else. But it is not the same case with the camera, though. Well, we are not saying they don’t have good cameras; they just lack the best cameras. Equipped with the usual stuff like in all other Huawei phones, the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro does beat iPhone X in terms of the camera which other Android smartphones struggle to, but still there is something missing. It fails to make its mark as a premium camera phone. Though it does have a new Night Sight mode, there is not much of a boost from the Huawei P30 Pro.

Apart from the camera, there isn’t any significant glitch in the phones. With faster charging than any other in the market, this is sure to last. Though a strange name to call, Huawei has named its charging technology as “Wrap Charge” and yes, it last comfortably for a day.

The REAL Question

Do we suggest you buy them? Well, there is actually no valid cause not to, only if you are not a professional photographer or crib about the camera department. They are worth every penny, given the speed and performance they present. So what are you waiting for? Order one right away.
